Star Riders Group Riding Rules: To be followed on all Chapter Rides and or Activities

We ride in standard a staggered formation. The bikes will form two columns. Each rider will ride 2 to 4 seconds behind the rider ahead in the same column and 1 to 2 seconds behind the rider diagnaly in front in the other column.
One or more groups may be needed dependent upon the number of riders in attendance. Your Ridse leader and or Officers will determin if multiple groups are necessary. Each group shall have a ride leader and a tailgunner. No one is to leave the group while in motion without the approval of the ride leader for thier group. In the event a rider leaves formation then later returns while the group is still in motion, that rider will fall in at the rear just ahead of the tail gunner, but only after the tailgunner motions the rider to pull into the groups formation.

If you feel that these guidelines are too restrictive you may not be ready for group riding., Riding in formation, at anytime, day or night, requires strict adherence to these guidelines for your safety and the safety of others around you..

Safety and Group Rides

The information contained on this site should be read by all members of the club. Each member has the responsibility to ride safely and to request the same from other members.
The purpose of riding in an organized group instead of an undisciplined pack is to provide an additional margin of safety.
When a group rides in an orderly fashion, people don't get in each other's way, and the organization of the formation itself discourages cars from attempting to cut in.

Since one member can affect the safety and well-being of another at rides and social events, it is within the authority of each member to demand safe riding practices of other members. Members or ride participants are to notify the Ride Leader, Tail Gunner, or the Chapter Administration of any practice of a member or members that compromises the groups safety. Practices which endanger the membership will not be tolerated.

It is not our intention to become so rigid in safety requirements so as to loose sight of the reason and purpose that we ride together, but it is our responsibility to each other and to the group as a whole, to insure the safest possible riding environment. Should a rule or regulation  be petitioned for amendment or change, then the petition is to be brought before the chapter administration for consideration.
